he can't be a legend since he doesn't have his fifth belt and he didn't beat Spence. that was his M.O. and in his mind would make him a legend.

Sh^t man I'm a Mikey fan (the person & the fighter), but I don't think he'd have reached legend status even if he had beaten Spence & won that 5th belt. In most .reasonable fans minds or his own.

I don't think there are very many cats that even reach legend status at that 30 year old-ish age I believe Mikey is at in recent eras. And you need wins for legend status not belts especially these days.

he may not have put up the most spirited effort in terms of trying to go for the win, but getting in the ring with spence and going 12 did show some heart.

I enjoyed Mikey getting reality forced upon him. His arrogance and complete disrespect of his brother and fathers elite advice was inexorable. They deserved better than to be dismissed by this punk.

As for spence, he is a big gigantic coward. immediately after beating a tiny man, he goes and calls out an even smaller and older man with such gusto that he has never shown towards fighters that are larger than him. His usually down syndrome sleepy face immediately lit up at the chance to beat on another tiny man.

But alas we will never see this giant coward call out a canelo, hurd, in this manner. but a man two weight classes below, ten plus years older, no problem. Gigantic coward.
