Comments Thread For: Arum: Kovalev-Yarde Will Go Wherever Most Money's Available

Bob Arum had never even heard of Tunde Ajayi until a reporter relayed what Anthony Yarde's trainer/manager said about his fighter facing Sergey Kovalev. Even then, Arum didn't pay Ajayi's comments much mind. Ajayi asserted this week that Yarde is the "A side" against Kovalev and that their upcoming light heavyweight title fight must take place in England.

Plenty of space in Hell now for the fight given the larva will apparently be frozen over.

Clearly it's Yarde's way of saying he doesn't want the fight

This is his best chance put Kovalev in a hotel in London, where plenty of East European and a pub near, Yarde best chance for a title.

He is a pisshead Kovalev only reason they are taking the fight but not in USA as he might train to hard

Problem for Yarde, there's no weak champs at 175. Most would probably consider Kov to be the weakest link just due to his age.

I spoke to Tunde about his comments yesterday and to me it seemed pretty obvious he knows yarde isn’t the a side he’s just trying to goad them into coming over here.

Seems Arum doesn't know Yarde is Adidas' global ambassador.

lol, no wonder there was a misunderstanding. Old Bob's been getting steadily more senile for a few years and Tunde Ajayi is obviously smoking crack.
In what fantasy world can Yarde be considered the A-side against Kovalev? Hmmm, let me see... body-builder with unproven boxing record, lacking some very basic fundamentals and massively over-inflated ranking vs 3 time world LHW champ who's beaten everyone he's fought apart from Andre Ward... yes, I can see the thinking there, lol, GTFOH!! Kovalev may be getting old, but he could be 3 years further on the decline and still easily be the A-side in this fight
