It was a good fight man. Peterson at this stage isn't what he was back in the day, but he looked good.

Can't shake the mikey fight just yet though.

The thing is, they went into the fight knowing this was the last fight so Barry Hunter wasn't going to take any chances. He was going to protect Lamont at all costs. Lamont was obviously competing well in the fight and was doing okay in that round, but that was the second time he got hurt in like three rounds.

Hunter looks at Lamont as his son so it's a bit more personal here.

As for Lamont, he had a style that suited someone who had more power. He throws some of the best body shots in the sport but lacks the pop behind it and is always in line of fire. Overall as I said yesterday, he's done well for himself and has nothing to be ashamed of. On to the next chapter of his life.

Sad seeing Peterson taking that punishment and his career ending. I guess Limpnuts made his 147 debut a successful one showing power at the higher weight and ability to take punishment and not fold.

I think Sergey is a good not great fighter. I don’t think he will last at 147 with his style. I see 3 maybe 4 more tough fights then he will have some major slippage. I want to see him in with Ugas. I think that would be a great co main event to a Pac/Thurman - Spence/Porter type card.

Respect to Lamont. Good career. Good luck to him in his out of the ring pursuits.

                    I agree.

He also got saved by the referee in that fight also.

With his style he will have a brutal short career at 147.
