Not surprised HBO took that move because they've been in the hype game for decades. The entire organization is based on hyping a guy up and taking that easy cash.

The difference I see is that Oscar actually was an incredible HOF boxer who is knowingly deceiving casual fans to line his pockets. I think that's de****able as a former champ.

Who better to do it than a guy who knows the game inside and out? I'm sure his experience has taught him that 98% of people watching boxing don't even care about headlines like these, and the ones that do only came to argue, which will only garner more attention for his fighter. If I can see that as an armchair commentator, he definitely sees it and will take advantage of it.

He has been raised an groomed to be the last, atleast for a while, Great Mexican Fighter. Boxing is better when it has a good Mexican presence.

I dont see any Marquez, Barreras, Morales, Chavez Sr coming up anytime soon sadly.
