McGregor sounds dumb af. Mayweather didn't fight the way I trained for him. It's not fair. I'll beat him next time. I dont think it matters at this stage. Floyd still wins easily.

Mexican style would have left Mac with sore ribs and rope burns. Floyd put his hands up and walked him down, that's all.Comment

Boxing is all about adjustments. No quality boxer prepares for a single style and calls it a day. That's WHY Floyd is undefeated; he adjusts to what's in front of him, which means he prepares for multiple things to happen in there. That's what he did against McGregor: adjusted after he realized the "Baddest Man on the Planet" had no power.
But this:
Originally posted by BoxingScene“Floyd fought great. Usually he fights defensive against the ropes. Against me, he changed it up. The boxing world had not seen Floyd compete like that, that Mexican style, hands up over his eyebrows, marching forward. In my preparation when I was sparring, all my sparring partners were on the back foot, with the shoulder roll against the ropes, the way he usually would fight.
“When he came and switched that up, I wasn’t prepared. His experience showed through and he got the win. You can’t do nothing but respect that because that takes 50 pro fights to gain that experience and be able to switch through the gears like that. I prepared for the style he originally came out with, and I was whooping his ass when he came out that way because I was prepared for it. When he switched up to a different style I wasn’t prepared for, he ended up getting the win, so much respect."
If Conor is SERIOUSLY saying he prepared for the version of Floyd that fought Maidana the first time...that seems very ****** and limited, because he had to know he didn't have the power to use that for anything and neither did Cotto.Comment

So true his punching which is real good for a MMA fighter is nothing compared to a boxer. And what an excuse "he fought too aggressive"lmao that might be best excuse ive ever heard lmao.Comment

Instead of going back to Ufc he should have stayed with boxing and had some more fights against journeymen types. He doesn’t have bad skills, I’d put him in he level of an extremely schooled amateur or even a decent pro prospect but there are some flaws in his game that actually could be worked out....least of which would be how to turn over his punches and truly generate power....and a better jab. Not too many Mma fighters would make it out of 4 rounds with a championship level boxerComment

More importantly:
Boxing is all about adjustments. No quality boxer prepares for a single style and calls it a day. That's WHY Floyd is undefeated; he adjusts to what's in front of him, which means he prepares for multiple things to happen in there. That's what he did against McGregor: adjusted after he realized the "Baddest Man on the Planet" had no power.
But this:
Floyd boxed Manny in the center of the ring for 80% of that fight. He boxed Berto in the center of the ring for 50% of that fight. He was walking Ricky Hatton down the second half of the fight, he was throwing consistent against Canelo and he was squared up against Marquez for 65% of that fight.
If Conor is SERIOUSLY saying he prepared for the version of Floyd that fought Maidana the first time...that seems very ****** and limited, because he had to know he didn't have the power to use that for anything and neither did Cotto.Comment

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is still hoping to get his hands on Floyd Mayweather in a rematch. The two fighters collided in a major cross-sport boxing match back in 2017, with Mayweather stopping McGregor in the tenth round at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
