So if this fight doesn't happen, what explanation would PBC provide to hundreds of fans who witnessed the Garcia/Spence post-fight scene wherein both Pac and Spence agreed to fight each other next?

Are they going make it appear it's Pac that doesn't want it and make him the fall guy again just like in the Crawford situation?

I respect Pacquiao too much to want to see him be a Doormat to one of these younger fighters becoming a bigger star. Ali vs Holmes is not easy to watch, same with Terry Norris vs Ray Leonard as well as De La Hoya vs Chavez Sr.

What I prefer is for the younger Welterweights to fight each other! I prefer Spence Jr vs Porter Unification Next to speed things up to the Crawford Showdown.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 just need to happen let the Legends fight each other. Or if anybody deserves the shot at Pacquiao it is Thurman who was around during Mayweather and Pacquiao ERA and was given the run around for his shot at Mayweather and was WBA Interim for a LONG TIME and never got his shot at Mayweather. Thurman is the most DESERVING of a shot at Pacquiao when you look at overall Resume of the Younger Welterweights. Despite inactivity he STILL has the best Resume among: Spence Jr, Crawford, Porter and Garcia

      So yeah give me:
      Spence Jr vs Porter
      Pacquiao vs Thurman
      Danny Garcia vs Yordenis Ugas
Hate leaving Crawford out but Egidijus Kavaliauskas is likely next as his WBO Mandatory

The Winner of Spence Jr vs Porter and Pacquiao vs Thurman will fight next anyway, doing it this way makes the winner of those fights a Massive Unification PPV Bout easily

But I implore that you guys count Manny out because once Manny beats Spence he will be proclaimed the greatest boxer of ALL TIME

Michael Rosentahl, please do not mislead people. Gauge every fight on Pac's ability.

Michael Rosenthal please gauge every fighter's performance to Pacquiao's abilty not the other way around. Mathysse is a champion when he fought Pac, u mislead people by the way u discredit Pac's victory over Mathysse. Mathysse looked shot to u but the truth is it's simply because he's facing Pacquiao. Anyone who was against Pac looked as if they're shot & ordinary because of Pac's ABILITY. Just check & study again Pac's record if u have memory loss! When fight night comes after they taste Pac's power, all of his elite opponents shifted to defense mode & ride their bicycle.

A SUPER Tournament at Welter Weight once & for all will settle it all!

Put a super tournament in the WW division to settle for the undisputed WW champion!

Pac at his age of 40 has only 2-3 fights left & no doubt he still has the speed, the power, the footwork, the ring IQ & as the cash cow! He only needs to fight at least a very important, blockbuster & sensible fights. Same as Floyd.
A super tournament in the welterweight division must happen to settle for the undisputed welterweight champion.

Put a prize fight purse of 100 million dollars:
Only fair for a 7 blockbuster fights (Which includes Manny & Floyd, both were cash cows maybe they can add some more millions on every fight if Pac [+15 million] & Floyd [+20 million] fights against anyone. Give them the due purse for both.) This will generate massive interest on the viewing public!

1.) Undisputed WW Champion = 50 million dollars
          2.) 1st runner up = 25 million dollars
          3.) 2 semi-final losers = 6.5 million dollar each (S13 million)
          4.) 4 quarter-final losers = 3 million dollar each (S12 million)

Total 100 million dollars total prize purse = 50+25+13+12

          8 Fighters: Knock-out System

          Quarter final:
          1) Pacquiao vs Danny Garcia
          2) Floyd vs Thurman
          3) Spence, vs Porter
          4) Crawford vs Khan

          Semi-final:
          1) Winner QF1 vs Winner QF3
          2) Winner QF2 vs Winner QF4

          Final:
Winner SF1 vs Winner SF2 Winner = Undisputed Welter Weight Champion

Pacquaio is a much better fighter than Mikey BUT he's also a lot older and he won't be able to fight at a consistently high pace like he did years ago. Spence will have all the advantages...Manny may have just as much hand speed and he's has some really tricky moves but he won't be able to employ those moves over the long course of a fight with Spence because one of Spence's best strengths is work rate and endurance.

Having said all of the above....Manny will be a much more dangerous and difficult task than Mikey Garcia, even at Pacquiao's advanced, old boxing age. If this were prime Manny vs prime Spence I would pick Manny to win.

I'd rather see him face Thurman than Spence. You're right, Spence is too big and strong. I hate to count out the PacMan but we also have to be realistic. On paper it looks to be a bad match up. Not to say he could pull it off because of what he can still do, but age is the big factor here. Thurman sounds like a good fight if he wants to fight an elite 147 pounder. Honestly I can see Thurman on the run though once Pacquiao starts landing like he was against Lopez lol. I love Thurman but he was trying to survive in some of those rounds against Lopez.

Manny must fight Thurman next to become full fledged WBA champ. If he wins and looks good, he should unify against Spence this year after Errol takes Porter’s WBC belt. Win or lose, he should seriously consider retiring. Manny is turning 41 in December, and as the old saying goes, father time is undefeated.

It’ll be more competitive, pac probably has a 65/35 chance, but Thurman is definitely the better rout then depending how he looks if he wins, unify with Spence/potter winner. Whoever wins would be a legit unified champ, it’d be a hell of a run if manny can pull it off.. but smart money probably on Spence to come out on top unified and challenging Crawford for the undisputed title

Pac may be 40 but he is a warrior and will put up a good fight unlike Mikey. Sure, Spence would be the favorite but Manny is definitely a live underdog. I hope he pulls it off and retire on top.

Mikey is neither elite nor special. His best win remains Broner. His effort versus Spence was embarrassing.

I don't see Pac beating Spence, but Manny would get inside and make it a fight. Even at 40, he still has speed and athleticism.
