"When Your Idols Turn Into Your Rivals"

Towards the middle of the video he talks about how much he grew watching Pacquiao and how he was a fan of his and then said this great line of "when your idols turn into your rivals." So that got me thinking, what are some examples of the actual idol beating the young fan? I know Berto looked up to Mayweather and proceeded to get beat by him, but usually it is the other way around with the old veteran taking a beating from the youngster, who was once a big fan of theirs.

    Any examples that pop out?

But that's the opposite. The youngster beat a beating on their idol. Now, not even sure Joshua looked up to Klitschko. I know Holmes loved Ali and obviously sparred together.

I'm looking examples of the old fighter beating a youngster who looked up to them as one of their idols.

Maybe I wasn't clear, but you guys are bringing up examples of the youngster beating the old idol of theirs. I want examples of the other way around, where the older fighter beat a youngster who looked up to them.

DLH was the youngster who looked up to JCC and beat him up.

Floyd was the youngster who looked up to Hernandez and beat him up.

Give me examples of the opposite. Like I mentioned, Berto looked up to Floyd, but obviously Floyd was the one dominating the youngster.
