I think J Rock will make this a competitive fight. I think J Rock will outbox him for a while before getting caught. I just don't know if he can take Hurd's power or if he has enough pop to keep Hurd from walking him down for 12 rounds.

Munguia is also much younger than the rest of the guys you mentioned. Those guys are in their absolute primes. But Munguia will eventually have to step up no doubt.

And he is older than many fighters who won world titles. They are babying him, feeding him fighters no one has ever heard of. On the job training is for novices with 3 pro fights, not world champions.

I mean same argument for Davis not fighting Lomachenko right? Obviously both of their promoters don't feel they are ready for a certain level. But like for Davis, I would like Munguia to go for it against the top dogs. Let's see what he can do.

I am willing to bet after he fights hulk hogan, they will dig up another unknown. He wont be facing any of these guys: Charlo, Lara, Hurd, Castano, Williams, Brook, Harrison, Trout....I doubt he will even fight Teixeira. It will probably be the 12 rated Thomas LaManna or another unknown on the WBO list.

My thoughts exactly. He needs to change his fighting style if he wants longevity as a champion. Hurd's body is slowly wearing down, it's just a matter of what fight will be his undoing.

I just can't see him @ 154 much longer! In fact, I think he's more likely to fight Jermall than Jermell! That is if he can get past J-Rock!
