That would be a huge payday... Of cource Valuev would lose but he would retire and King would be laughing to the bank.
yeah but people have gone past his 49-0 record

Sooner or later Valuev will have to fight the #1 WBA mandatory - and if he fights Ruiz in the states, he might not win. I can't see him winning the decision again in the US in the exact same fight...

fighting barrett is like having to fight audley harrison. They don't stand a chance. I really think valuev and skelton would be a better fight.

Ruiz was a bum, and he's done; and as for the Giant with barely amateur level boxing skills, he's somebody's money tree. Dude will try and establish himself with a couple hand picked opponents and then some one is gonna cash in. Don't be suprised if Valuev's first loss is to Klitschko, why not keep the money over on that side of the planet? But there is some competition heating up in other areas of the Heavyweight Division and boxing could get really interesting after the Rahman fight...

in all fairness to valuev and SL, this is probably King's doing... having them defend against mcbride and barrett... that's king's M.O. to have his champs defend against chumps first... chumps that are also signed by king...

This epitomizes what is wrong with the heavyweight division today. Monte Barrett hasn't even fought since getting defeated by Rahman last summer! If ever there was an illegitimate champion, its definitely Valuev now. And I'm still astonished that Ownen Beck got a shot.

I like Barrett but he doesn't deserve a title shot.He lost his chance when he lost to Rahman for the WBC Interim Title.

this is barretts reward for playing along and letting rahman beat him for the interim title, don king takes care of his fall guy in this case.
