Both sides are playing hardball over who will run THE PROMOTION of the fight. Looks like hearn is upset bc he thought for sure in any case that they would run it. these guys dont wanna admit taht the fury fight worked wonders for wilder.....people claimed he was even unkoown in the UK(why he must fight whyte first they said)....so then he became known by fighting fury(he already was known bu ill play into their bs narrative for a moment) and became more famous in the US

Deontay is free to go wherever he wants, which is why Hearn and DAZN can make offers to Deontay, but it would be tampering if Haymon or SHO made an offer to AJ! Who works for whom? Fury didn't work wonders, Wilder is just holding that belt hostage for a high ransom and is only valuable to AJ.

Wilders name has no value without AJ or Fury as proven with him being forced to fight Breazeale on free tv. You wouldn't see AJ taking less than 20 mil for someone like Breazeale nowadays which Finkel already confirmed they won't be matching.

People forget AJ had pulled every excuse out of the book when the initial negotiations were going on!

-Fight has to be in the UK
-I’ll take flat fee purse in rematch if I lose but reneged
-Offered flat fee purse in an undisputed heavyweight title fight
-one way rematch clause where Wilder doesn’t get a rematch if he loses but AJ does if he loses
-Said Wilder isn’t worth even 25% split but have over 30% to Joseph Parker who’s incredibly even less known than Wilder
-Sent a contract without AJ’s signature or a date or venue
-Pushed a 24 hour deadline for a mandatory when unifications trumps any mandatory
-Says AJ needs 8 weeks to
Prepare for Wilder but refused to mention of a date and venue for the fight
-Declined a guaranteed offer first after ASKING for it
-Says offer isn’t real but late admits it’s real but still doesn’t accept it
