The only way they could guarantee Joshua is if they sign a contract with Joshua first.

showtime, fox, pbc and top rank can easily put together a joint ppv for a wilder/fury 2 rematch.....

can't really say the same for dazn at this moment.
What's good fam? They (haters) don't want to hear that! Everything is cool for them! Flat-fees, sign and fight Whyte first, sign now, fight Fury later, etc.! It is what it is!

Anyway, we haven't discussed "The Takeover!" What's your take on Teofimo Lopez?

        Exactly!!...

Why can't they just offer a one fight deal and be done!!!
They clearly want Wilder to be on DAZN for multiple fights but yet discredit him every chance they get.

But what woulf Wilder look like if he took 40 mil per fight, and they turned around and generated 130mil off the fight and more from the rematch after winning? He's getting flat fees and no back end money off the deal, and in the process giving team Joshua a windfall of over 180mil.

all good and yes its true all they care if its he turned down the 100 mill and forget that he probably doesnt want to sign a contract with dazn for x amount of fights. He has that right.

lopez is easily gonna become champ I think they should step him up some more to the interim type fights

You are once again missing the point

If showtime themselves come and offer 160m over two fights then yes both fighters should sign with showtime for 2 fights

              A fight and a rematch

But guess what, they are not doing that, dazn is doing that

Dazn made the highest bid, what don’t you understand, wilder is free to go after joshua is done with him

You are making al the excuses in the world to justify his duck

Nearly everyone here is calling it as they see it, wilder ducking

Then there is a handful of loyal wilder fans who would argue oxygen does not exist as they cannot see it if wilder said so lol

What if the fight only three times as big as the Fury fight generating 42 - 60 million dollars overall?

Also how are DAZN gonna generate and upside when the majority of subscirbers will be on their first month free and if not only paying $10. They're investing so much and willing to make a loss now because they want repeat subscribers that will pay over time for all of the fights are displaying.

If Wilder wants the chance upside he should be makng offers of his own with showtime but make sure they guarantee him that 40 mil because lets face it boxing still isn't that big PPV wise in America atm. Lets see Showtime front the guarantees if there so confident the fight is much bigger instead of them telling DAZN to. They should put there money where there mouth is for once.

Or get a contract that requires both their signatures to be valid. The negotiations never made it that far Wilder just said no because they can get more money in the future, that's the cold hard truth.

At 3 times bigger than Fury, the fight would generate 150million. Remember there are ppv sales abroad that figured in to the fight as well. So that would be a bad deal for Wilder. And I assume that's what he means by betting on yourself because he believes that the fight can generate more than the 60mil.

Secondly, it sounds like you're admitting that dazn shrinks the pot, so why have this fight on dazn when Joshua can go to Showtime as well and everyone can be paid more money?

Lastly, I agree that it's time for Showtime to start making the offers the same way they did with Fury

I'm not missing anything! Fury fought Wilder on SHO, but he didn't have to sign a multi-fight contract! Joshua was on SHO, and he left, without fighting Wilder. However it's all good for Joshua to go to DAZN, and for Fury to go to ESPN, but Wilder is a duck if he wants to stay with the folks who made him? Hearn said it himself, when DAZN made the offer, "this is the only way this fight was EVER going to happen..." So what was all the commotion for last summer? For nothing? And you're cool with that? I'm not! We'll just agree to disagree.
