Agree 100%. It’s better to just quietly be confident throughout training, especially since your coming up in weight and taking on a big challenge like that. There was too much talking coming from the Garcia side. And it was out of character. Maybe the Garcia’s were speaking outwardly so much to try to convince themselves.

I watched the you tube videos and saw the press conferences. It was almost like in sports when you know you can easily beat somebody and you have to search for motivation to get up for it. And then someone gives you bulletin board material to give you that extra edge and fire your searching for. Athletes typically will use anything to motivate them. Garcia’s words provided that for Spence.

In the second half of the fight, Spence was trying to damage Mikey long term. He has a mean streak with him. It’s not just KO’s that damages fighters, it’s the way you beat on them over the course of the fight and how you dominate them and snatch their confidence that changes them after the fight. Medrick Taylor was never the same after the punishment Chavez put on him. Those were some punishing and viscous body shots by Spence. Spence took something away from his confidence as a fighter.

I saw Garcia’s brother, the trainer, do an interview after the fight on you tube and they were shocked how good Spence was. He said Spence had an answer for everything they tried to do during the fight. And they couldn’t execute anything. And Garcia admitted that some of the body shots hurt him.

When people disrespect you, you put them in their place. Plain and simple.

For a fighter it's a good thing to have that pride and that mean streak/grudge holding character trait. It helps to put you in the zone and to strive to be better.

Pac said some disrespectful things aboumt Spence's power and him being like Ledwaba. Can't wait to see how Spence responds (in the ring).

PS. Spence didn't say anything before the fight and gave Sugar, Mikey, and all of them their answers in the ring. That's how you do it. Let your performance do the talking.

Notice that when Pac said those things and Spence was asked what he thought about it, he only responded to the last statement about Pac saying he wants the fight in July. Spence simply answered that he would be ready to fight him in July and didn't say anything about the other stuff.

But you can be damn sure he is going to be training to put Pac in his place come fight time.

Floyd was cutting heads at 130 and headed to 154 winning titles which would mean Spence winning titles at 168/175.
