Comments Thread For: Arum: Pacquiao Should Face Porter or Garcia, Spence is Too Much

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum strongly feels that Manny Pacquiao should avoid IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence. Pacquiao was ringside last Saturday night, and watched Spence dominate four division champion Mikey Garcia over twelve rounds for a unanimous decision win at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Arum just doesn’t want Spence to get the torch.

Gotta agree with this old punk motherfuccer!
      Spence would hurt Pacquiao!
Manny isn't the type of fighter who will go on defense mode the way Mikey did. Spence would end Pacquiao if they fight.
But I'm not really a Pacquiao fan so count me in as someone who wants to see this fight,... 😂🤣

Arum said Pacquiao-Broner wasn't going to happen. Neither was Spence-Garcia. His hate has reached an impressive level and it's only March.

Pac has the tools to beat Spence and if that happens Arum is worried no money to be made for Bud.

I have coworkers who think Pacquiao can take Spence (they thought Garcia could too) which is downright depressing, but is also why that fight could happen. Casuals pay the bills in boxing, and young stars fighting legends generally brings in the money with that bunch.

For once, Arum has spoken the truth.

I dont always agree with Arum but he is right about this. Spence and Crawford are too big and tough for a 40 year old pacquiao. Would love to see Manny at 140 against Jose Carlos Ramirez.

Pacquiao should pass the torch to Errol Spence. Giving him name recognition and anointing him as the next boxing superstar.

Crawford will be forced to stay fighting the likes of Amir Khan since Arum wouldn't make the Pac fight when he had the chance.
