Competitive fight... take off the rose tinted specs and the legendary promotion and Oscar was never a league above his contemporaries even at his best weight (147)... he'd slot in fairly nicely with the likes of Spence and Bud IMO - maybe win, maybe lose, but to talk like it'd be some one sided beatdown by Oscar is to do a huge disservice to the quality of today's fighters.

Oscar and it's not even close. Some serious revisionist history going on to bash Oscar's resume and some serious GGG level overrating going on with Spence who people think is young but he's actually 29 and turned pro in 2012 and he's yet look at who he's beat? A damaged goods Brook fighting after a loss and a devastating injury and Mikey who he dragged up from 135. Oscar by the time he was 29 was already a 5 division world champ with tons of wins against HOFers, world champs, top p4p fighters (who were actually p4p in the weight class Oscar fought them in). Out of those 5 divisions Oscar won titles by Spence's age he either held Lineal status or unified belts in all of them BUT 1. Spence hasn't done either at welterweight. Oscar beat the top ranked Ring fighter in 4 weight classes. And the 1 weight class he didn't beat the "man" in that division he still beat him but 1 weight class higher. Meaning he fought the best.

Spence fans don't turn into GGG fans who started saying GGG beats Hagler and Hopkins and all these HOFers and legends all while he had yet to even beat a single top Middleweight. Spence hasn't even faced a Crawford, Thurman, ect but beating up on Mikey and a faded/broken Brook is enough to say he beats Oscar? Stop it. Like GGG fans who because he fought such weak competition you are trying to project what he might do or look like once he finally faces the best fighters or moves up in weight. Oscar actually did those things Spence hasn't. A reminder GGG once he stepped up went from killer to ordinary. The level of opponents you are beating up on matters.

Exactly. Oscar was better then Spence at every level. Better Amateur career, better in the Olympics Spence lost and couldn't medal Oscar won and came home with the Gold, better pro record, even if you just take Oscar's Welterweight record alone it's better then Spence's Welterweight record and he been there so long. Wins over Whitaker, Quartey, Camacho are better then the guys Spence has beaten. Oscar fought guys much bigger and stronger then Spence example Trinidad, juiced up Vargas, Mayorga, none came close to knocking out Oscar. Oscar wasn't stopped until he moved up to Middleweight for phuk sake so don't tell me Spence is going do it. And he's not more skilled as a boxer then Oscar or faster. Folks thinking outboxing Garcia who he bullied in weight and dragged up 2 weight classes translates to beating elite Welterweight let alone alltime great Welterweights

This is like groundhog day and it's 2015/2016 when GGG fans said because GGG beat a guy on house arrest dragged Brook up 2 weight classes that it means he beats every Middleweight in history. Think about how ****** those statements sound today in 2019 when GGG couldn't even beat Jacobs convincingly and came up empty in 2 fights with Canelo?

This a serious question? lol there are levels to this and Oscar would beat spence in several ways.

Oscar can be regarded as a contemporary great while Spence is just a work in progress.

Let’s see him face an elite fighter of same size before putting him in the same sentence as these contemporary greats.

              Spence is dime a dozen

Oscar. In addition to all the obvious talents, the man had grit and intelligence and he faced the top talent in pretty much every conceivable style, from Mayweather to Tito to Sweet Pea to Hopkins to Quartey to Mosley. Not saying he beat them all but he was very competive and I do believe at his best, he’d outwork and outsmart Spence.

Because you say so. Please you probably never even saw Oscar fight. People were knocking down the door to get to Oscar.

Golden Boy by decision. He had power and size for the weight classes he was in. Was just as tall and long as Spence.

Gold medal and champion in multiple weight classes.

Spence is hot right now because he beat a lil dude lol

When Oscar was Spence's age he was already a 5 division world champ and a great record of facing elite opposition.
