Mick Conlan's a fantastically gifted boxer, and I would not be surprised if he wins at least one world title at some point.
But who the hell thought it was a good idea for him to ring-walk to a song that glorifies the IRA? Can you imagine the backlash if someone walked out to a white supremacist song, or did a Hezbollah/ISIS inspired ringwalk?

Agreed! The IRA are no different then IS or any other terror group. Would Barry McGuigan, Dave"Boy"McAuley, Ryan Burnett, Carl Frampton or Mick's brother Jamie be so ******? I very much doubt it. There's enough politics in boxing without this sort of trash!!....

Not impressed by Conlan is behind in development compared to Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson it's not even funny. They all signed at the same time and Conlan is way older then both guys. Conlan turns 28 this year and those guys are only 21. Those guys are on the fast track to get a title shot.
