Mayweather chose to retire, undefeated & rich. He’s in his 40s. Fight for what? He had his time. PAC chooses to fight on. Doesn’t mean Floyd has to. This is Spence era, at WW, why should he make at foolish decision ‘like Mike’ to move up???

Pac is still more than a match for 95 percent of the Welterweights out there...even at 40.
It's a win/win situation for both fighters. Spence gets the highest profile name on his resume and earns millions of dollars and Pac gets the payday he undoubtedly craves.
Of course the younger, fresher man would be favourite.
However a fellow southpaw with undoubted skills and unrivalled experience will pose questions to Spence that his opponents so far have been able to ask.

I think in order to beat Spence you need to be faster than him and surprise him from different angles... Mikey was a hype job and gets destroyed by the other top Welters as well.

Those that know boxing and really pay attention saw Mikey proved a few things-even in a landslide loss. He has a great chin even at welterweight and the tight body defense he showed prevented Spence from landing everything flush the way he wanted to. Had Spence landed some of those hooks to the body flush we'd be talking about a tko stoppage or clean KO. Spence did managed to land several heads shots flush which brings me back to my first point-great chin.

He's definitely better off at 140. 135 as well- if he can still make it. He looked slow at the weight, at least against Spence. Not sure if he'd look that slow against PAC who has slowed waaaay down himself and is weak against counter punching (which is Mikey's specialty).

You saying Mikey was a Hypejob is one of the most "prisoner of the moment" statements I've ever heard. He went up to a weight class he never fought at before and fought the percieved Boogeyman that most of the other welterweights are still avoiding. No tune-up.

I expected Mikey to be KO'd, but he wasn't! I'm not expecting Pacquiao to be KO'd, so he'll probably be stopped in 9! I really wish Manny would've chosen Keith Thurman, but I guess the allure of AT&T Stadium was too much for him to pass on!
