If heard many experts say he could easily make 154 and has typical size build of MW's.
I actually hope to see him vs Canelo one day. Both young enoughComment

It just seems like if everyone moved up a weight class there wouldn't be an issue with weight.
Lightweights move up to welter and welter move up to middleweights. It's like high school wrestling, get on the scales before the match.
For instance, if Spence is going to fight at 160, he should be a middleweight.
But it all started with Mike Spinks and Eddie Mustapha. Eddie came in overweight and refused to lose weight but insisted the fight go on with him two pounds over the 175 light heavyweight limit. Spinks refused and the fight was called off.
Now it's the weigh in the day before the fight which allows some guys to be weight bullies, but fights are rarely called off if a fighter comes in overweight (although he can't win the title).
Funny, but Floyd money walked around at 150, so he was always at a disadvantage with guys putting on weight after the weigh in.
Chris Cyborg (MMA) would use diacritics to go from 175 down to 147 and then put on 20 pounds before the fight (which caused some serious health issues).
Finally, you know James Brown (soul brother No. 1) and Mike Jaggar (rolling stones) would lose 20 pounds with each performance and then put it back on the next day.
That's what's happening in boxing.Last edited by marvin douglas; 03-16-2019, 12:07 PM.Comment

They should go back to same day weigh-ins, that way you don't have re-hydration issues.
