Because it’s boxing not a street fight. Also hitting hard means Mikey will have extra time to do what he wants. A tentative opponent is a controlled opponent.

Well, if Mikey hits so hard, then maybe he should turn it into a street fight and use his punching power to KO Spence? That's probably his best option if he truly hits hard.

But he will probably just run around for a few rounds in an attempt to "out-box" Spence before getting KO'd.

The Garcia’s comments are nothing more than a psychological ploy to goad Spence into “boxing” instead of turning it into a street fight. This is why Mikey Garcia keeps emphasizing that he has the better skills and why Robert Garcia keeps talking about Mikey’s “power”. The fact is Mikey is 4-0 with only 1 knockout at his highest weights. If he had the power the Garcia’s are trying to sell us then skinny ass Easter would have never got up.
