There was definitely a big size difference but the angle makes it look like Loma is a foot taller and 40 pounds heavier which obviously wasn't true. In reality it was more like 4 inches and 12 pounds.

Revisionists history at its best. A lot of people in Boxing and on forums were picking Rigo to win.

doesn't matter what you think about it in retrospect, there were MANY Loma haters who were relishing Rigo's certain win over the "hypejob".

Yep. I would say it was about 2/3 of fans picking Loma and 1/3 picking Rigondeaux. And Rigo was only about a +300 underdog in Vegas.

Someone bumped an old thread and there were people saying size didnt matter and rigo would still 'take him to cuban boxing school'. If that was cuban boxing school then that school should be shut down.

Weren't you clowns the ones pressuring Lomachenko to fight Rigo? And that Arum was protecting him? "He could end up like Donaire" doe.

Loma didn't impose his size and strength to win that fight. He imposed his speed and skill.
Rigo didn't quit because he was badly beaten up. Rigo quit because he was getting outclassed.

To be honest, i thought weight would be a factor but turned out it wasn't a big one.
After the fight Loma humbly played down the win clearly saying it wasn't his best given Rigo was smaller, rather than big noting himself and claiming he beat a superstar.
