Ellerbe: Lomachenko may not still be around when Tank is ready for that fight.

"He's very, very old. Tank is probably 10 years or 11 years younger than Lomachenko. Lomachenko will be 40 before you know it."
-quote by Floyd Mayweather
Lomachenko turned 31 in February, and Tank is 24 and turning 25 in November. That's an age difference of 6 and half years, not the 10 or 11 Floyd thinks.
Tank may not be able to stay at 130 long enough to unify the division, and Lomachenko may never go up to 140. So when Tank inevitably goes up to 135, Lomachenko will be undisputed champ. If they're waiting for Loma to get old, it probably won't work.Comment

Very good and interesting points."He's very, very old. Tank is probably 10 years or 11 years younger than Lomachenko. Lomachenko will be 40 before you know it."

I have another scenario for ya. I think it's possible that Davis only stays at 135 for 1 or 2 fights, never fights Loma at 135, and moves to 140.
If Tank is still winning and gaining fame by then (like his team predicts), he and Loma meet at 140 for some kind of "mega fight" near the end of Loma's career, for their biggest career paydays.
I just hope they both keep winning and growing fanbases. With Pacman retiring, Nelo and GGG coming to an end, there will be a gap in the "big fight" PPV market. These two (Tank & Loma) are close enough in weight and age to be rival PPV stars, at least for a couple years or so....

lol i remember when PBC launched it was supposed to be the death of PPV
PPV aint goin nowhere
that means the marinating tactic is here to stay. a fighter like canelo doesn't give a damn about marinating because he gets a set amount no matter the opponent.Comment

Sounds like a Canelo/GG situation where they're just straight avoiding him until situations favor their fighter.
I'm honestly bored by Tank at this point. The hype feeling has died for me. I can't imagine him becoming a huge star.Comment

Tanks the new Wilder, showing lots of promise and then being fed bums instead of fighting the best and the fans will tire of it and start to wonder what they are hiding him from and come to the conclusion they are hiding him from a beating by anybody good.Comment
