Mikey was waiting on Loma since 2017 when he told him to his face to move up so they can fight. Loma stayed at 130 and fought Marriaga and Rigo. Loma was ok with facing Linares as his 1st fight at 135 but not Mikey. Arum already had planned for Loma to fight the winner of Beltran/Pedraza later in 2018. Mikey wasn't going to keep waiting, he was fighting at 135/140 those 2 years so it was just a matter of time where he just left 135.

Do you think Loma should have moved up to 135 when Mikey told him to his face so they can make the fight happen? This was 2017, Loma instead stayed at 130 to fight 2 smaller guys in Marriaga and Rigo. Loma was ok to fight Linares in his 1st fight at 135 but not Mikey and Arum already had set for Loma to face the Beltran/Pedraza winner. If Loma really wanted the fight he would have moved up to 135 in 2017 after Sosa to challenge Mikey. MIkey was already out growing the division.

In 2017 Loma had barely moved to 130 already. He’d had two fights LOL. You aren’t just a little bit disappointed in Mikey that he opted to turn down Linares and then when Loma beat Linares Mikey decided he was done with 135? Had Mikey had a tiny bit of patience he’d be fighting Loma in 4 weeks if he wanted it. He opted for Spence instead and that’s a hard fight.

What would you have preferred? I’m not knocking him. He’ll get splattered by Spence I just wish he’d have been more open minded to working with Top Rank for a Loma fight.

Taking some time off from hating on GGG to hate on another great fighter from that part of the world. Boxing like every other combat sport is divided into weight classes not height classes. There are middleweights who are as tall as AJ. Do you expect them to fight AJ? Mikey weighs 15 pounds more than Loma on fight night. Mikey is thick and stocky and a much bigger man than Loma. You don't become great by daring to fight someone. You become great by beating good and great fighters. Loma has done that. Mikey is about to get knocked out just like the last 11 guys Spence fought. Dude go to the circus and ride a bicycle,Robert Garcia said yesterday Mikey wanted Spence in january 2018 after the Peterson fight ended way before Loma's injury he's mind was already made up, he never had to wait for Loma,he just didn't want to fight him, that's why it never happened
