ATG status can only be (re?)viewed in retrospect. Hypothetically speaking, if Mikey beat Spence and then Spence lost to Thurman, Crawford and a couple of others the win would be reduced but if Spence lost and then went on to continue to beat all other top competition then the win would mean even more for his ATG claim.

These questions about ATG status while a boxer is still active are nauseating to be quite frank, I see it all the time with Loma fans asking the same question. Loma and Mikey are both fantastic boxers, but let the dust settle first, lest you find yourself eating your own words.

Mikey is getting knocked out in the 1st round. He isn't great now, he never was great and he never will be great. He is a good champion and and excellent fighter but not a great one to me. Right now I have Spence number 3 PFP and Mikey number 8 PFP. I won't raise Spence higher than number 3 PFP because he is supposed to beat guys like Mikey. After Mikey gets squashed I may drop him from my PFP ten best list. MAN DOWN!

Spence number 3? Wtf who has he beaten? He beat brook that had gotten destroyed by ggg the fight prior. Who else algieri? Lamont? Stop it his resume isn't good. I could see maybe 10th or 9th p4p even though to me hes like 10th or 11th until he proves himself with better opposition. No denying hes super talented but hasn't done anything yet and beating a small ass mikey wont prove anything either unless he does it in a round or 2 and I still wouldn't have him in top 5 p4p if he does that considering mikey shouldnt even be fighting at that weight.
