Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley: If Garcia Beats Spence - He's Pound For Pound Best

Former two division world champion Timothy Bradley knows what it's like to be the smaller fighter in the ring. Bradley was a former junior welterweight champion and then moved up to capture a world title at welterweight. At 147-pounds, Bradley was certainly on the small side and most of his run was against other smallish welterweights who moved up from other divisions.

Did anyone watch today's press conference? Every question from that chick was ******ed. I feel bad for both Garcia and Spence

"does it bother you that Mikey and Robert think that Mikey will win?", "who do you think is more technical?". come on wtf is that?

If Mikey wins, he'd shoot right past Crawford and Loma for that #1 spot. Highly unlikely he wins though.

Not sure how anyone can disagree with that. Mikey beating spence is a big big deal

Was never found of Bradley as a fighter, but dear god, as a commentator... Too many blows to the head, then goes to the Teddy Flatface school of sports journalism.
Spence is talented, and so is Mickey, but how does beating a guy who's best win is a damaged Brook and an over the hill Peterson make him P4P best? If he wins, it will be a good victory, even though people will say Spence was overhyped. And if he loses, the same will say he was too small and bit off more than he could chew.
I expect this kind of comment from die hard fans with no perspective, not from a world champion turned commentator. A little nuance would be appreciated!

It sounds to me like you are hoping neither guy gets credit? I guess if you are a Loma fan, or Canelo or Crawford it would make sense.

If Mikey pulls this off, it will trump everything any other welter has done, because frankly, all the other top guys have blatantly ducked Spence.
The over the hill Peterson you talk about went life and death with Danny Garcia. I thought he won the fight.

Brook was, and is, a top notch fighter that beat Porter, who is one of the top guys at welter. No excuses.

I think he's right. I give Garcia about a 10% chance but IF he pulls it off convincingly, it would be hard to compare anyone else's recent accomplishments to that.

Mikey is getting silenced under 6 rounds.
probably his corner will stop the fight and Mikey will say he was eager to continue the fight and on his way to a KO

Can't find any issues with that. Garcia will have pulled off a massive upset. And has accomplished more than any other top p4p fighter. I'm curious if Garcia wins, will he stay at Welterweight? Will he fight Crawford, Thurman..etc?

Unquestionably #1 if he pulls this off. This would be a massive upset.
