Maybe something in his contract with top rank and 2 gold olympic medals and insane amateur career have to do with him getting that title shot, what you think... Going back to Lopez he is a good fighter, but unknown and needs to get some stripes, beat Linareses, or others cats before facing Loma.By that logic, Loma should've never got a chance to fight Salido for the WBO title in his 2nd fight...but he did! Joe Joyce has 8 fights, and the WBA made his fight vs. Stiverne an eliminator! If he wanted, he could be fighting for the WBA "Regular" title next! Filip Hrgovic has already won the WBC International Champion, in his 6th fight!Comment

You do realize, that Lomachenko won the WBO International title in his first fight, coupled with him being arguably the greatest amateur boxer of all-time?
Lomachenko is a 3-divisoin champion and a P4P elite. Salido wasn't.
Lopez hasn't:
A) beaten a top 10 fighter in his division
B) won a world title
There's no point to this fight. Lomachenko should be fighting guys like Mikey Garcia, Easter Jr., Richard Commey, Tank Davis, and maybe Campbell.Comment

All that experience, yet he still got bullied by Salido! However, at least he got the chance! That's all Lopez is asking for...a chance!Maybe something in his contract with top rank and 2 gold olympic medals and insane amateur career have to do with him getting that title shot, what you think... He's not facing those I highlighted, he will fight Commey, and maybe Campbell, and I still feel Lopez is just as good as those two, but his fight is the easiest to make! I guess if Lopez beats WBO and IBF #3, Edis Tatli, then you'll be suddenly convinced that Lopez is ready for Lomachenko? You do realize, that Lomachenko won the WBO International title in his first fight, coupled with him being arguably the greatest amateur boxer of all-time?

March 2, 2019:
Tatli (31-2, 10 KO) is a solid veteran fighter, born in what was then Yugoslavia (now Kosovo) and fighting out of Finland, where he’s lived since he was four years old. He’s fought his entire career in Finland save for one bout in Russia back in 2012.
Tatli, 31, challenged Richar Abril for the WBA “world” lightweight title in 2014, losing a decision in Helsinki. He went on to beat Yvan Mendy for the vacant European title in 2015, losing it to Francesco Patera in 2017. Tatli regained the belt from Patera in a rematch seven months later, defended against Frank Urquiaga last August, and then vacated the belt.
If Lopez is the fighter he’s thought to be, the outcome here should be another flashy win, in all honesty. Tatli is a fine fighter and a good opponent for Lopez at this stage, but Tatli isn’t exceptional in any sense, and the thought is that Lopez may be.

If he wins in dominant fashion, it edges him closer to deserving the fight, yes. He's not facing those I highlighted, he will fight Commey, and maybe Campbell, and I still feel Lopez is just as good as those two, but his fight is the easiest to make! But do you think that win pushes him over Lomachenko making fights with the other guys? No.
Hell, if Miguel Berchelt does supposedly moves up to 135, he's also ahead of Lopez at that point (for obvious reasons, anyways).Last edited by UNBIASED BOXING; 03-14-2019, 10:41 AM.Comment

I was assuming that (Miguel Berchelt) is why Loma is talking about moving down. That, and the fact that he's not trying to see Teofimo Lopez! Berchelt should be easy to make too, since he's co-promoted by TR!If he wins in dominant fashion, it edges him closer to deserving the fight, yes.

If Loma wants a belt, then Commey is the guy! If Loma wants a "BIG" fight @ MSG, then Teofimo Lopez is the guy! If he wants a "BIG" fight in the UK, then Luke Campbell is the guy, but I don't see that because Campbell is on DAZN!
At his age, Loma should be chasing money, not titles!Last edited by Bronx2245; 03-14-2019, 11:27 AM.Comment
