Brook was doing well and most had him winning the fight before this happened in the 8th round.

Go watch round 8. Brook get's headbutted in the first minute and his eye starts to swell throughout the round. Spence got lucky.

I thought Brook was handling Brook real well in the first half, probably up on the cards too. If it wasnt for the eye, result would have beeb different.

I think he probably would have. Shortly after that injury is when the fight turned around in Spence's favor. There's no way to know for sure obviously, but my opinion is Brook would have won.

Brook was definitely holding his own and you can argue he was up on the cards

They both felt the same headbutt how would this make it any different. All this shows is that Spence is mentally and physically tougher if you’re basing his loss off of that headbutt lol.

Brook got a fractured eye socket from an headbutt which affected his ability. Of course it made it different.

Brook was showing he was the more skilled fighter until it happened.

1st off. I never understood this Brook was up thing as if he clearly was winning the 1st 6 rounds.

2nd. I've been looking for the round by round punch stats since that day & haven't been able to find them. Because Errol was landing more & better punches & it was clear to me not only throughout the fight but the 1st half. I had Spence up. It was competitive but I never understood why people act as if Brook ran away with the 1st half of the fight.

3rd. I have never until this day heard that what caused Brook's eye to swell was a headbutt.

I believe, I along with most believe it was a punch & I'm not about to believe a random gif from the fight which doesn't even display the time of the round in the fight. & finally most importantly this thread sounds like 1 big excuse to me.
