Rigo was way to small and was made to move up 2 divisions instead of making the fight at 126, but was lo balled by Arum. Walters only beat a past it smaller Nonito and couldn't even get by Sosa and was in active close to year in Arums dog house. Russell was fighting TBAs at that point an has never really beat any top fighter to date. As for Linares, he had already been KOd by lesser fighters and was only hyped up by the Ring and writers who kiss GB and Oscars a$$. Loma is a top talented fighter but lets no pretend like he's beating elite fighters. As for all the fighters Loma has beat, only Russell has done something after losing to Linares, and that's not saying much since he fights once a year.

People are excited because he's stirring the pot. Garcia also has a much better resume than Brook. The single Porter win does not trump Garcia's body of work.

They = some wannabe experts around here. I am totally with you on the fact that he didn't pull a great upset. What I'm saying is that there is quite a number of people around here who would unload even more reasons why X wasn't a worthy match than why Loma was ducking X until the fight was over.

Every fighter who moves up a couple of weight classes to fight an opponent that is deemed as the favorite always gets praise by fans. This is nothing new. Boxing fans like to see fighters who take on big challenges.

It's why despite DLH being old, weight drained and past his best, Pacquiao still got a lot of praise for beating the favorite because he was coming up two weight classes.

funny how fish nets was "old, weight drained, and past his best" yet was the favorite and was preparing for a rematch with the woman beater *floyd

before the fight: "fishnets is going to win by his jab alone"
after getting beat: "fishnets old, weight drained, and past his best"

funny too "weight drained" always gets brought up. fishnets fought at 154 and pacquiao 135, guess no way they should meet in the middle and pacquiao should just go to 154

another funny thing is fishnets was trying to work his way to 47 already since that's where the rematch with the woman beater *floyd would've taken place at

but it was pacquiao who made him weight drained
