I honestly can't recall ever reading a balanced critique of GGG on here, except maybe occasionally from people who are actually fans of his. Everything else is just so biased, emotional, hateful. His haters end up having the opposite effect of what they probably want - no one really takes what they say seriously.

Same guys who hate on GGG for taking the Canelo fights are oddly silent or even encouraging Spence to take on the Pac fight lol.

And again that video backs up, or at least doesn't dispute, what I was saying - he said 'yes' to fighting anyone from 154-168, but obviously that still would mean under the right conditions. That could mean fighting a guy from 154 at 160 or from 168 at 164.
He would play the B side role with May and Pac and go to 154, no problem. He would play the B side role with Froch and Chavez and go to 168 no problem. Everyone else would be the B side to GGG's A side so GGG would more or less be calling the shots. (Outside of Cotto and Canelo)

'open to negotiations with anyone from 154 - 168' and 'willing to move up or down for the right fight'. Between them those two quotes actually cover pretty much all bases whilst simultaneously making the she**** that people have made so much fuss over essentially totally banal - after all, every damn fighter, is 'open to negotiations' and 'willing to fight' everyone within a coupla of divisions if the conditions are right and every fighter would be willing to 'move up or down for the right fight' again, assuming the renumeration is acceptable.
5 fkn years of BS about a statement which boiled down to it's essence says nothing at all, but was just a bit of PR to get the dudes US career moving.
****.. I mean if the dude had said back in 2012 or 2013 or whenever - 'I guarantee I'll fight anyone who calls my name at the weight and venue of their choosing for whatever they feel like paying me' then I could see the hypocrisy, but what he actually said can never actually be proven to be wrong, and besides is basically just a formal acknowledgement of the risk / reward calculation which informs every fighter's opponent selection.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 03-24-2019, 08:34 AM.

If someone lies to his fans for years, he's a liar. (let's not list the lies that never happened or the inconsistencies because people including myself have beaten it to death)
He got his money by conning his fans into being a monster. Good for ggg! He was a good champion.
Who would pass that money! Not someone like ggg whose next bum fight before Canelo 3 will show how he dares to be great. Can't wait for the age excuses and long layoff excuses (all ggg doing) will come if Canelo wins the third fight convincingly. It will be like when pac fans were crying for slow motion replays after Mayweather v pac.

you are full-of-shlt
you just wrote a disgraceful load of rubbish justifying why Golovkin lied to you
grow the fk up, seriously
Golovkin ran around for SIX YEARS saying that he would fight "anyone from 154-168" to jerk off his dopey fanbase
he 100% lied to you, and pulled your chain
no amount of " oh, but's "..... will change that fact
Golovkin killed THREE HUGE fights over weight..... don't pretend that never happened
you are literally making ridiculous excuses to justify why you should not feel miffed that Golovkin consistently lied to you..... which is insane..... he said all that bullshlt, and you failed to call him out on it /story
