so let me get this straight, you'd prefer that he chase a paper champion like a Rocky fielding or a Liam Smith for example and say he's "chasing greatness" , than to face the fighters that might be considered the best in the division even if they don't have a belt?? At mw, charlo doesn't have a belt, Saunders doesn't have a belt, ggg himself doesn't have a belt, after may, either Canelo or Jacob's likely won't have a title. So in many instances, it's safe to say that some of the best fighters in a division don't have a belt. Especially if they got their belt vs a low level opponent or by a controversial decision. Looks like you're reaching to try to find something to criticize when the actual title of the article is he wants to fight the best in his division.

GGG would’ve been undisputed Champion with all the belts. Canelo would’ve been forced to concede with 50/50.
In fact if GGG had all the belts after beating Saunders they could’ve stayed defending and toppling Hopkins’ record while making Canelo wait and still giving step asides to any mandatories, THEN fight Canelo. By that time HBO would’ve been gone and the networks would’ve been wanting GGG today, no different. DAZN was already in motion in Europe before it hit the USA.

1st of all Charlo has a belt,Brant has a belt,Andrade has a belt,they have jr/gifted belts but then again so did ggg when he was counting them as title defenses despite being jr/vacant belt(s). Are you truly naive enough to not only think ggg doesn't consider them belts, but to also think that if he was intending to fight those opponents that he wouldn't be touting them as champion opponents?why would he have went through all the trouble of making excuses if he was facing 1 of them?
Those fighters are the best possible opponents he can face if hes serious of" intending to face only who'll help his legacy facing true champs regardless of having belts or not".
