It looks like 135 is his limit. He's way undersized and his power is next to nothing. If he goes to 140 he's gonna have major issues IMO. Teofimo Lopez is the next big thing at 140. He will be gone from 135 by this time next year and he will have some great fights at 140 if top rank can make the fights of course.

... actually, Prograis started at jr. middleweight (152.1) in the ams... while Loma started at 126 (featherweight)...

I agree that asking loma to go to 140 might be a stretch....it could be real trouble for him there.

at the same time...a refusal to try or entertain is going to stifle any chance he has of really getting any bigger....as others have mentioned....hell have to hope tank keeps winning and building his star so he can actually have a true big fight......but staying at 135 is going to cap his growth and career.....not really his fault but still kinda stinks....everyone has limits

That doesn’t have any significance because

Porter fought Usyk in the ams, Thurman fought at 154. Jacobs fought at Super Middleweight before. Canelo started at 139. Loma fought above 126 in the Olympics. Spence and Crawford walk around 170lbs+.

Loma walks around 128lbs on Friday, twice on Sundays!!!

... sure... Porter even beat Usyk in the ams!!! ... Porter's debut in the pros was at super middleweight... and he started campaigning at 147 only when he was 19-0...

135 is about the limit for Loma and it's pretty obvious. Anyone that wants to see him go any higher just wants to see him lose.

I wouldn’t exactly right off Taylor , Prograis winning the tournament if they are able to finish it isn’t a forgone conclusion. Both Taylor & Prograis are legit and can win the tournament

Loma is maxed out at 135 , Top Rank wouldnt Put him in against the best at 140 especially a fighter who they dont control. Sh.it Top Rank wouldnt Even Have Ramirez fight Prograis when he was mandated too , straIght swerved him so Ramirez could hold the strap for a little bit, What makes you believe they’d throw in in their #1 asset instead . Prograis would most likely be too big and powerful for Loma

Nice thread . I'm a Prograis fan and have never thought about matching him n Lomachenko .
Flash knockdown or not . Linares is No huge puncher . If he could drop Lomachenko . The big punchers at 140 can Hurt him .
