There are things in this sport that we talk about all the time, they're called ''offers.'' Did Bob Arum or Lomachenko ever confirm offers as they did when talking about Rigondeaux? Since when does Bob Arum not talk about monies?

Before talking about stylistic theory you might want to start with the very reason most fights don't happen like lowball offers or network conflicts. Aside from the fact that Arum doesn't like Garcia since he waited out his contract.

Start with facts instead of fanboyism.

This is ******ed. Mikey fighting Spence, assuming he wins, trumps Loma's career and will still be undefeated. If Mikey loses, he's still below Loma in P4P. We don't know where Mikey will be after Spence, and we know plenty of fighters have admitted that a new weight was a disastrous idea and planned to move back down. Did you see what recently happened to Linares and what he said?

Well at least we can stop entertaining the idea of a Loma-Garcia fight. Garcia will have some big fights at 147 but Lomachenko will struggle to find a big fight until Tank Davis steps in with him. Floyd wont let it happen until Lomachenko looks old and shopworn though.

You are putting words in his mouth he never said. He just said Mikey would stay at 147 because he built his body up to that weight and feels good there and all the big fights are at that weight. How you somehow turned that in to a duck of Loma is nuts. There are guys like Crawford at 147 who would be much harder fights for Mkey than Loma. You don't duck a great lightweight to fight great welterweights. That makes no sense at all.

I agree that he should have fought Loma before moving up.
Loma/Garcia would have been a huge fight to make both in terms of legacy and money.
I cannot think of any other reason as to why Garcia wouldn't want to make that fight first unless their had to have been something about the matrix style the he wanted no part of or he just wasn't willing to risk his 0 to a 50/50 fight or one that alot of people would expect him to win.

If you're McGregor, a multi-million dollar fight w/ Mayweather is a great idea. If you're a world-class Boxer - you've spent your WHOLE life doing this. And you're set to make millions of dollars IF you market yourself correctly, you're going to avoid pit-falls like Lomachenko.

Don't matter how great Lomachenko is: he's smaller and less experience than Mikey. If he eclipses Garcia, Garcia losses more in future negortiations than he ever earns against Lomachenko.

I don't think Loma is a strong favorite. Mikey has a lot going for him. But the potential costs don't off-set the rewards. Making a potentially legendary name for himself going after guys like Spence, though, will build his bank account and legacy.
