Why are boxers earning so much money today?

The amount of money that is in professional boxing is something that I have never seen before. This is really a golden age for earning record high purses for boxers with the app war going on.

They're getting overpaid. I just wonder how long it's gonna last cause surely those involved can't keep this up. In the long term over paying these guys could open pandora's box. But we'll see how everything goes...

What's great for the fighters isn't always what's great for boxing.

Mayweather certainly opened up new possibilities when it comes to earning amount. Pacquiao definitely contributed as well

Thank Sage Money Mayweather for that and as well as Pacman The Congressmen!

I thought about applying to DAZN to be a tomato can for their upcoming prospects! How much you think they would pay?

the money was always their just the promtoers etc used to keep most of it but thanks to oscar de la hoya who showed the blue print to these fighters now they know their worth and demand to see whats the money coming and take their cut from their. THe fighters have wisen up, and comeption has become fierce so that means more and more promoters are willing to let go a few more .1-1% more to the fighters to seal a deal.

All true except it's Floyd, not Oscar. Has Oscar ever made in one fight what Floyd had?

I said blueprint. Money is irrelevant. Both were in different circumstances. You dont think if oscar was in the social media age, and left arum/hbo at the same time showtime wanted to make a power play into boxing that oscar couldnt have pulled out that money or even more?

remind you, Mayweather made all that money being promtoed under GBP!
