Why can't Chisora get a DZAN deal like everyone else?

No belt, no network interest, unless you're already a star or the network believes you can win a belt.
If nobody tuned in we would never get new stars...

There are plenty of examples of fighters who no longer have or had any chance of winning belts but were still covered e.g. Khan, Broner and up until recently you had fighters like Provodnikov, Matthysse even Brandon Rios still gets shown on TV and he's well past his best.

The point being that you dont have to be a rising star or a belt holder to be shown on TV, there are plenty of entertaining fighters who fit the role of gatekeepers

You listed a bunch of guys networks believed could win a belt or already won belts. Once you're established, you'll get more opportunities after you lose, but Chisora is essentially unknown in the US and no matter how entertaining he is, US networks are not going to care about a foreign fighter with nine losses who has never held a world title and likely will never hold a world title.

So buy your logic champions should only be fighting other champions or prospects who can win belts?

Please explain why people like Szpilka, Washington, Miller, Ocampo etc get opportunities. There not household names, they arent likely to win anything.

Chisora has fought some of the top names at heavyweight, it wouldnt be hard to put him on a card (not as the main event) to establish himself in the US.

They don't need to sign him. What's the point.

At best, he's an opponent for bigger name fighters right now, so if they want him as an opponent on DAZN or even for an undercard fight, Hearn can sort that out. No need to sign him to fight exclusively on their network.

As far as i know, he's not even a Matchroom fighter. He has no fixed contract with any promoter or network, but generally works with Hearn on a fight by fight deal these days.

Yeah he's managed by David haye but operates under a fight by fight basis with whomever is going to pay him the most.. which tends to be sky / matchroom.

No need for DAZN to offer Derek anything, he won't be headlining any PPV's in the UK unless it's with someone much larger than him in profile so DAZN can just keep showing him on the fight night sky cards for nothing.

If your argument is that Chisora is a potential opponent for a DAZN fighter, then yes you are correct. For instance, Joshua could beat Miller in a closer than expected fight and then perhaps Miller beats Chisora to eventually set up a rematch with Joshua.

But the thread topic is asking why DAZN hasn't signed Chisora to be one of the flagship DAZN fighters like a Joshua, Canelo, Andrade, Miller, and so on. You don't have to like the reason, but the reason is that a US network or service isn't going to have any interest in building up a foreign fighter with 9 losses who has never held a world title and will likely never hold a world title.

Could he get a title shot someday like a Szpilka or Washington? Possibly. But that's different than DAZN signing a Chisora, Szpilka or Washington.
