He was offered to fight for the WBC Youth World Title already but they passed up on it for the time being, another 2 or 3 fights and we should see big things from Vanes. Don't want to rush a good thing you know.

Originally posted by AREALFIGHTERIt does seem like he has a good, great team around him that has his interests in mind. He has fought on major fight cards giveing him a lot of exposure. He must have busted up guys in the amatures as he has a pro style. Does he fight how he fought as an amature or has his style changed byond the normal transition from amature to pro. Did he take it to guys in an agressive fashion like on the videos you have shown. Also if you can up load Vanes fights for me that would be very cool.
He is also very disciplined and incredibly hard working. At the moment, he has ONE goal and ONLY ONE goal in life, and that is to win his first World Title belt.
As an amateaur, Vanes went somethin like 120-10, with over 80 wins coming by stoppage. He had quite a run during his olympic trials as he beat some high ranked guys to secure his spot on the 2004 US Olympic boxing team for Athens, Greece.
He is a total different fighter as a pro compared to amateur. He is alot more calm and collected and doesn't get mad and lose focus if he takes a punch or two. But ya, he has always had that go for the kill mentallity which will make him a great marketable fighter.

I will be taking my man Maskaev in this fight. He sent Rahman to lala land before he can do it again. All it takes is one punch from the Russian Express and it's lights out. He is one of the hardest punchers in the heavyweight div and this fight should be a no brainer. Rahman will be KO'd. This Vanes guy looks impressive but nothing special.
