Callum Johnson vs Joe Smith Jr

Idk man. I feel like Callum Johnson has more skills and Joe Smith has the better chin. They will both land bombs on each other. The outcome will depend on Johnson's gameplan. If he wants to slug it out, Joe Smith might catch him cold since he might take Johnson's punches better than Callum takes his. We know both guys power is real but we also know Callum has been knocked down before. I have never seen Joe Smith on the canvas. I think that early TKO in his career was not after a KD was it?

Still I might go with the guy with the better skills overall and I believe that is Callum Johnson

Not saying hes a world beater but Johnson is better than given credit for. In time that beterbiev win will look solid. Hed beat joe smith.

I thought about this as soon as the fight ended. Johnson probably faces Bivol next. Johnson vs Smith would be awesome tho.

This is what I was thinking last night. It makes sense on every level. If Callum wins he puts himself forward for another title shot. Lose, and he goes back down the rankings. If Smith wins it puts him back on the right track for a title shot down the road.

This would be an exciting fight with a near definite KO. What is there not to like with a fan friendly fight?

Smith was badly hurt and ready to go against Fonfara. And he isn't exactly a puncher. So I don't know yet who has the better chin of the 2.

But lets hope we find out.
