Porter has a problem with prolific boxers with height and reach. His best best against Spence is to try to rough him up but even that won’t be enough.

The toe of Porter's right boot hits the mat and clearly slips off of it. That's why it looks so awkward. That's what caused the fall.

Ugas lost because he got away from the jab. He was winning largely because he was pumping an ineffective jab 20+times a round the first 6 rounds. After that he slowed down on the jab - throwing only 20+ one in the last 6 rounds - which allowed Porter to win the close rounds. If Ugas spent more time leading with the jab and less time scowling he'd be wearing the belt right now.

It's not that simple. It never is. The punch must CAUSE the knockdown, not just be in close proximity to the knockdown. Porter's right toe clearly makes contact with the mat and clearly slides out from under him after the punch. That's the definition of a slip which cannot cause a knockdown.

It's your prerogative to continue to disagree with the video evidence and the referee. But it's a flat-earth argument as the video is quite clear when replayed in slo-mo. The ref saw it and instantly called it a slip too.
