The real question: Why have there been so many close fights?

I really...REALLY miss the days of dominance. When one guy just outclasses the other for at least 8 rounds before anything notable happens. Like Bradley/Vargas.

Instead it's like, all these fights go razor thin and we keep hearing about robberies because one guy isn't dominating the other like they should.

Hell, even in fights where one guy IS dominant, people still scream robbery (Fury/Wilder).

Because the fighters of this ERA are Overrated...ALL OF THEM...ALL OF THEM!

I don't see that PRIME Mayweather, Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, Cotto type of talent in this ERA I just don't. All I see is HYPE and their little Fanboy/Groupies hype any and every fighter and build them up to be GREAT before they actually do something GREAT. I'm talking about ALL SIDES, PBC, DAZN, Top Rank ALL OF THEM have these fighters who are mostly HYPE.

More excited about that Teofimo Lopez, Shakur Stevenson, Devin Haney ERA I see way more potential in them than a lot of these Current Guys as far as PURE TALENT!

EVERYBODY has Flaws in this ERA they ALL DO!

Look at 147. These guys are all scrubs. A 40 year old Manny pacquiao can still beat any of them. Think about that.

Boxers are smarter today if not themselves , they surround themselves with smarter people
Training methods , eating habits and the peds ( which I believe every fughin fighter is on )
The fighter is not alone anymore , they all have an entourage to motivate etc etc
Thus making them closer fights imo
Now if their good fights or good fighters is a whole other story

Cotto was nothing special and git few gift decisions Marquez been in plenty of close fights not just Pacquiao fights and been dropped

It's crazy people trying to hype up guys like Cotto and Hatton Margo etc when they can't hold jockstrap of say Bud crawford in terms of talent

No, they're really not. Take Lara/Castano - where Lara is doing the BARE MINIMUM against a guy nowhere near his class. That is not entertaining. Porter/Ugas: That fight should have gone down like Tyson/Green, instead we got at least 5 rounds of Porter bouncing around doing nothing for half the round.

                  See, you're getting it wrong.

I'm not suggesting that everyone should face bums. I'm saying, I want one fighter to show me they're better than the other guy, definitively, with no doubt. Not left to the judges when you're not that guy.

Porter's style the other day is not his style. He's not Floyd. He shouldn't try to be. He should just be that linebacker because that's what he is. He'd have gotten Ugas to quit or get ref stopped in 7 rounds if he kept his ugly, aggressive style.

When Crawford faced Horn, Horn fought just as hard against Crawford that he did against Manny, but Crawford SHOWED me he was better than Horn and able to handle the style.

Fury/Wilder wasn't as close as the cards made it seem. I had Fury CLEARLY dominating Deontay Wilder round for round, even in the rounds he was dropped. The level of skill difference was clearly apparent.

Broner/Garcia, I had Garcia dominating Broner, he might as well have not even shown up that night.

Choco/Rungvisai 1. I wouldn't say Srisaket dominated, but there was a clear gap in hunger. I could easily tell that Srisaket wanted to be on top and he went for it.

DO you know why I'm such a Horn fan? He showed me he was hungry when he unanimously beat Pacquiao. Manny didn't show up, he underrated the guy in front of him, texting on his phone at the presser, didn't take him serious...and got bullied. But we ALL know Manny Pacquiao should have blown the guy out; he chose not to.

Martinez/Chavez? Absolutely. Brilliant, beautiful fight with one guy dominating all but three rounds, then a swerve where you just don't know if he's about to lose all of a sudden.

I'm one of those who actually enjoyed Chavez/Taylor and didn't get angry at the ending. Dominant performance with an exciting swerve.

Ortiz/Maidana - dominant performance by Ortiz until he got clipped, then a swerve.

                  Canelo/Fielding? No. Wilder/Stiverne 2? No. Canelo/Chavez? No. I can't stand when one guy just doesn't try.

Basically, I want to see fighters show up, on BOTH sides, but one clearly shows me they're hungrier or just flat out better than the other guy.
