1st off you cant just go by stats to prove a point lol.2nd from being around boxing for over 35yrs I can tell talent when I see it and that kid he fought had some talent.Just because you cant see it and have to run to boxrec to bash the oppenents of a 6 fight novice is just silly.3Rd I NEVER SAID he had "top level chin or mental strength maybe you need to learn how to read.4th I seen kids in their 1st fight just freeze up and VERY good AMs too but you would not prob know that because its obv you have never spent much time with boxing outside of just watching it(boxrec lmao). But since you brought that part up he did show VERY GOOD mental strength because the kid did get tired a bit from end of 2nd-4th and bite down and still was winning. You will prob never know that feeling but trust me its enough to break a lot of tough guys.If that kid was weak mentally he very well could have lost control after getting tired(and also finding out mid way it was a 6rder) with someone who was trying to win(again not the case with most debut's).That kid Jones will be champ unless he proves to not have the desire because he did show a DECENT chin at least. And if the Georgian kid gets lucky and is moved right and not thrown to wolves in fights on short notice(prob the case)would not be surprised if he went on to Euro champ or POSSIBLY more. How many 19 yr olds making their debut face that???
He was a national champ in Georgia FFS. The top Georgian guy at his weight has a record of 47-49, doesn't seem like the deepest talent pool. Thread is from bizzaro world, a prospect makes his debut against a random who has never faced anyone with a winning record before and you're talking like he was thrown in the deep end. Apparently this one fight proves his chin, skill and mental strength are top level, really?Last edited by john l; 03-12-2019, 08:25 PM.Comment
