Comments Thread For: Spence: If Not For Garcia Call Out, Don't Know Who I'd Be Fighting

From the moment he advanced from prospect to contender and eventual welterweight titlist, Errol Spence quickly figured out his toughest challenge doesn't reside in the ring. At least not until he's able to convince his divisional peers to join him there.

F--K Shawn, Keith, and Thurman! They don't want no smoke! Handle Mikey (Sorry Mikey, I love you but...), then move up to 154! Start with Castano first (Vengeance), and then go from there! Canelo should be the target! Cinco De Mayo 2020!

Fight Crawford and get ****ed son. When are we going to start seeing top fighters in WW fight each other? Even since Thurman got injured we've only seen Porter-Garcia

That's up to Arum if the Crawford fight happens. I agree with the WW fights though, the top ones aren't even facing off. They letting Junior WW fill in for them.

Maybe if Spence stopped hiding behind the PBC banner and used that as an excuse as to why he can't/won't fight Crawford then he would have a legitimate opponent to fight instead of a smaller guy like Mikey...
Spence has said in the past that Crawford is on the wrong side of the street and that's why he won't fight Crawford so he shouldn't make excuses about not being able to secure opponents... I'm sure Crawford would fight him if given the chance...

Probably Luis Collazo. Interestingly thats also who Crawford would be fighting if he didn't get a deal done with Khan.

It’s not a bad fight. It’s an interesting matchup. And it’s easily justified for Spence because Mikey is an elite fighter. And Mikey was the one that pressed for it to happen. Only problem for Spence is that he’s in a nothing to gain, everything to lose situation. If he wins, so what, he was supposed to. If he loses, it’s gonna be a very difficult defeat to bounce back from. So there’s a lot of pressure on him. Much more than would have been the case had he fought some no name, fringe contender to stay busy.

I'm still surprised about this fight. Garcia has some big balls for taking it.

                  Spence has a point.
Danny Garcia, Porter and Thurman are always quick to point out that they have a better resume then Spence. Spence hasn't proved his self yet. blah blah blah...

But yet unless one of them is fighting Spence.
Nobody is really checking for their fights anymore like it use to be.

Porter is fighting this weekend and I almost forgot about it until a couple days ago. There has been no talks about it.

Maybe its time to cross the road and actually make some attempt to fight crawford rather than crying about being avoided but show no interest in the fight everyone wants.
