The fans don't have interest in a rematch NOW, much less a year from now! The only thing that can grow the interest, is if Floyd beat someone first! Maybe if Floyd beat Keith Thurman or Danny Garcia, then I would want to see the rematch?

Pacman want mayweather rematch coz of money. He's mentioning names of Thurman and Spence but no intention of fighting them...

I think it’s bs for Oscar to try to get a rematch for canelo. But Floyd opened the door to be hounded with rematch talk because he was the one who basically challenged manny to a rematch then turned around and pulled this exhibition bs.

It probably hurts. As much as he accomplished, he lost in the biggest fight of your career.

Being so close to being the best of your generation and then actually losing to the best of your generation is a tough pill to swallow.

Imo, Floyd mentioned the possibility of a rematch last year to get Pac to sign with PBC.

He would be foolish to fight again at 42 or 43 against any active guy. Why risk it? He is mega rich, well invested, so doesn't need the money.

Pac wants it for the money, not for revenge. The shoulder excuse was BS, as most of us know. It took 5 years to make the first one thanks to Arum, and Floyd went from 33 to 38 yrs old. Pac is 2 yrs younger and active. Make money fighting Crawford, Spence, etc.

People here don't seem to understand how it works with Floyd. The guy is full of himself and an attention ho, he feeds his ego with talks and rumors in order to stay relevant (although sometimes he is delusional). As soon as fighters stop calling him out and media stops bringing up his name everytime they talk to pacquiao or mcgregor or whoever, Floyd will drop everything and start looking for an opponent for a big fight. Easy as that. He is scared ****less to wake up one day and not see his name in the news

I don’t doubt that, but I really do feel for Manny, it’s now about money. I think any mindset of fighting for legacy, or supremacy left him long ago. Too nice to his opponents, smiles and handshakes... I know that type of stuff comes with age, but Manny the stonefaced killer checked out long ago.
I don’t think he cares as much about whooping Floyd as he does making 5 times as much as he would make in a single night against any other opponent

Fortune doesn't know that many fans have lost interest a long time ago.

                    Mayweather has nothing to gain

Look Pacquiao is my favorite fighter of the last two decades and I would have loved to have seen him fight Mayweather when pacman was in his prime. But right now they are both way past their prime and makes no sense for Mayweather. If he loses Mayweather is 42 and been retired for two years. If he wins he beats an old Pacquiao who is not even close to what he was 10 years ago. Like Roy Jones a great deal of Pacquiao's greatness is connected to his speed and movement. His age has effected both.
