Garcia is correct, he is a little better than Spence in every department, but... the size and strength difference is HUGE. I don't think Mikey could hold him off for 12 full rounds.

What Spence has to do is to target Mikey's body and midsection; Which is his greatest attribute. It will not only help slow Garcia down but will disrupt his timing and rhythm in the process also.

If Spence can't handicap Garcia's legs by cutting off the ring, then he will probably lose not just on points but also possibly by knockout. So what Erroll needs to do is to target the body in hopes of hurting Mikey and wearing him down.

When that happens the fight would occur in a virtual phone booth where Spence imposes his size, strength and will on the much smaller man.

Then it will be a wash; However, if not then Mikey wins by a blowout because he is naturally lighter, faster, quicker and the overall better fighter than Erroll Spence.
Bro, Mikey is not the better fighter, he's the better boxer. There's a distinction.

Fighters usually don't have or use a lot of boxing technique or defense, boxers do. Mikey has a little more boxing skills than Spence, and not by much either.

When I think of boxing fighters, I think of people like GGG, Maidana, Wilder, Spence, the Pacman (a mix), and the like. It doesn't mean they don't have any boxing skills but that's not their primary. They wanna decapitate you!

Boxers are people like Sergio Martinez, Floyd, Tyson Fury, Usyk, Crawford (a mix), Lomachenko. They are highly skilled and primarily depend on their boxing skills- defense, movement, and so on.

That's how I look at it.

      Good post, tho.

Im rooting for Garcia but too bad he is no Marquez. He has no upper body movement, no head movement, so he is doomed.

If Garcia comes in the fight with great conditioning I would give him a great shot to pull it off.
He’s going to have to be mentally strong to keep moving and not get caught in a trap.
He has the edge in footwork and experience. Spence is a good fighter that could end the fight with a big shot.

After Mikey called him out, Spence went to the Porter vs Garcia fight to confront and challenge the winner. He went into the ring and confronted Porter, and called him out to fight him next.

Every interview after that he said he would rather fight Porter coz Garcia is too small.

Not his fault Porter ducked him and hid behind the wbc, same wbc who slapped him on the mouth when the president said in an interview that they would grant Porter the unification fight with Spence if he made a formal request before the wbc convention, request which Porter obviously didn't make as after the convention Porter vs Ugas and Porter vs Thurman were ordered.

So tell us, who is this great welterweight that Spence was supposed to fight?

The Miller fight and this one, two fights were 'wraps will be singing I told you so after the fact, some never learn though.

Skill, ring IQ, and conditioning are far more important than size/length/weight discrepancies, in the ring.
I spared, boxing and mma with all size opponents so I get it. Mikey already fought at 140 couple times, so 147 doable . So just not getting a felling of confidence from tho's statements like he's fooling himself but maybe I'm wrong, we'll see. I like Mikey a lot and his timing n 1-2 are great. I like spence as well and he looks more natural to me at this weight stronger. Mikey can crack but think he will be using more effort in doing it. I think he picked the wrong guy this time and spence is going to get aggressive and offset Mikeys game plan. If Mikey can catch him clean, he can hurt him I think but Brook couldn't. Algeri usually durable got taken out in 5rds right and knocked down couple times, hard. Mikey better then Algeri. Mikey going to have to box and ****. Think its going to be more difficult to time spence then he thinks maybe he sees something ? Hard for me to go against spence on this one.

Mikey lost to Crawford in the amateurs. I know professional can be a different case, but I just don't understand why Mikey thinks he is so much a better boxer than everyone else. He's been outboxed before.

Anyway, Spence will clar all of this up barring a freak injury or something. I like Mikey too, he is good. But his ego is very out of control and he's gonna pay seriously on this one. I got Spence dominating this one after the 2nd round.

                    I'll be front row ....
