Comments Thread For: Wilder Manager: Breazeale is a Competitive, Viable Opponent

As previously reported, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has been ordered to defend his title against Dominic Breazeale following the collapse of a proposed rematch with Tyson Fury, the World Boxing Council (WBC) said on Wednesday. A WBC statement said mandatory challenger Breazeale would be given a shot at the title after the sanctioning body cancelled an ordered Wilder-Fury rematch.

Im still confused on one matter .

Why didn't Wilder take the Breazeale fight for 15 million on DAZN and a guaranteed Joshua fight if he was fighting Breazeale next anyway ? anybody ?

Coming from the team that "shook their heads" at Joshua fighting Miller, an unbeaten potentially dangerous opponent, to call Breazeale a viable opponent is laughable. Joshua took him apart, beat the **** out of him. Wilder being taken for a ride here by these guys.

Same reason he didn't take the $5M to fight Breazeale on DAZN on November?

Headache. Brain, hurts. Bad, bad math.

I blame you, redeemer, for making me think about this.

Earning 3x more money on DAZN would mean him fighting for "the white man" Hearn, who takes advantage of fighters with colour and is only looking to line his own pockets. Or some kind of dumb narrative like that.

I have to agree with Wilder, we come to see heavyweights knock each other out, not dance and run around the ring

Remember when Wilder told Hearn that he would fight Whyte I'd Hearn guaranteed Joshua would be next and Hearn responded "no, it doesn't work that way"?

Is Hearn offering the Brezeale and Joshua package now that the Fury rematch is off?

This isn't true. and no its not how things work usually in boxing. Ha

Hearn did offer Joshua fight if he defeated Whyte afterwards.

Wilder also declined any opponent of his choice for 5 million as the 3rd offer with AJ included should he win. But we'll just forget that one to, right ? Ha

So my question still stands why didn't Wilder take 15 million in a fight hes doing anyway?
