I really hope we don't get Gamboa vs Davis this year though. That's exactly the wrong fight Gervonta needs to be in right now.

that’s a hi risk fight for davis, but I wouldn’t be surprised if haymon were workin towards that.

I disagree Gamboa is not near prime anymore he wasted a good part of it.Although he has fast hands and was pretty talented he has not fought anybody for a while plus what is he now 35-6?.I think Davis gets hit a few times early getting used to his still fast hands(but they have slowed)and then puts him to sleep once Gamboa starts losing steam and also his willingness to fight on.Once you get older you start really feeling them shots and one this kid can do is punch. Would have been a very interesting fight if this was the 25-6yr old version of Gamboa but not any more.
