Comments Thread For: Malignaggi: If They Didn't Rob Fury, Wilder II Would Be Happening

New York - Last month, heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (27-0-1, 19 KO's) made huge headlines when he and his promoter Frank Warren announced they had signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank - which ultimately meant he was taking an interim-fight before his rematch with WBC world champion Deontay Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KO's).

Fury was not rob. Dude got dropped twice in two different rounds...Wilder easily won 2 or 3 early rounds to give him a draw or even a win. Fury needs to admit he is ducking and stfu.

If they hadn’t robbed Fury, there’s every chance he would have retired as champ and told everyone he is the greatest ever with nothing to prove again

getting dropped doesnt always mean the guy is losing the fight. marquez got dropped like what 3 times against pac in their earlier match up and a lot of mofos on here still claim that marquez won that fight and got robbed.

Shaddap Paulie. Fury didn't get robbed. He got outworked and KOed. Only thing I regret is asking Evangelista Cotto to make sure Cotto whooped your ass for all the talkin'. I regret it because you sustained serious injuries. I'm sorry, Paulie. Shaddap still, tho.

Still a fan! No worries! But you biased against Wilder, tho!

I'm cool with a draw but do you even know what being outworked really means???
Tyson outworked Wilder so IDK WTF you smoking???
And Fury didn't get KO'ed... He got dropped but not KO'ed.
              Big difference!

I saw Fury missing a lot/Wilder blocking punches, while Wilder consistently landed body jabs. In such a slow paced fight, that counts as outworking, imo. I also believe the fight should've been waved off in the 12th. Had Fury ended up like Adonis Stevenson, everyone would be agreeing with a stoppage.

                  Paulie is 100% correct.

If Fury had got the decision he deserved, then he would have been tied by the rematch clause and a second fight would have had to happen next.

Wilder can blame Al Haymon - or whover it was that fixed the result - for the postion he is in now.

If Wilder had won 2 of the early rounds, plus the 9th and 12th when he scored the knockdowns, the final score would have been 114 - 112 Fury.

Wilder needed to win 3 of the early rounds to get a draw, and very few people saw him do that.
