Comments Thread For: Humberto Soto Says He May Face Jessie Vargas on April 26

With the recent upset victory over Brandon Rios, former world champion Humberto Soto has got himself back in the mix. According to Soto, he may become the opponent for Jessie Vargas, who is going to make his junior middleweight debut next month. Four time world champion "Zorrita" Soto (69-9-2 with 37 knockouts) was as a special guest on Monday night at the Centennial Sports City, and stated that he might fight Vargas in Los Angeles on April 26 at The Forum.

Whatever happened to Vargas’ 154 debut? Wasnt Soto-Rios at WW?

Soto is way better than Vargas but he is old and outsized.

Maybe Soto can put on a throwback performance like Morales did with the likes of Garcia and Maidana.

    Soto is a bad mother***er

I think they had it switched to Super Welterweight cause Rios missed weight.

It’s going to be sad if Soto gets retired by somebody like Vargas who is like two levels below him.

Im a huge fan of Soto.

This is a bad fight. Soto is still good enough to beat shot fighters like Rios or local plumbers but Vargas would retire him.

Soto earned himself this fight. He was like a 6-1 underdog against Rios, Good for him.

Hearn making them big fights at DAZN.Hearn trying to get Vargas another shot to look good since it backfired against Dulurme. Hearn has nothing to offer Vargas at WW, should have just made Vargas/Brook.

Hearn is having Brook fight Liam Smith next instead of Vargas.

I don’t get why Vargas signed with DAZN for. He has no opponents anymore. It’s a shame that Boxing in 2019 is like this where if you sign with a certain platform than it automatically limits your options significantly as a fighter.
