I'm British and even I know that, Eddies the only promoter dumb / ignorant enough to pick this date. Especially when they have so long to plan this one out. Totally defeats the purpose of Joshua fighting in NY. I'm not sure Hearn is even aware of this, haven't seen it brought upComment

There are millions of people in NY and the Yankees have 81 home games a year. It isn't like he's going against the ****ing Super Bowl or something. The fight will sell out. And Mets fans also exist.Comment

You ppl are missing the point, if this was about putting bums on seats Joshua would be fighting in a stadium, the purpose of fighting in the us media capital is us exposure. Eddie picked one of the worst possible dates for that. The fight will be totally over shadowed and Joshua will get fraction of the pub he would get had this fight been scheduled for only a few weeks earlier.Comment

Majority of the crowd will be Brits anyways, so they will be fine at the gate.
The NBA finals schedule hasn't been released yet, and they go game 1 on Thursday, and game 2 on Sunday. So there won't be any NBA finals game on the day of Joshua/Miller.Comment
