There is no rule where a referre has to ask “are you okay”. He called the fight off and one of his comments was, I treated it regardless of the clock. Which is a good way to ref, but at the same time he knew there were less than 10 seconds in the fight. He should have given the command to box and if he got hit with anything significant in TWO seconds, he could have jumped in.

How do you give a guy a command to box when he cant even answer a simple question? This is the part you dont get. Steele owed Taylor nothing. There is no rule where a referre has to ask “are you okay”. He called the fight off and one of his comments was, I treated it regardless of the clock. He OWED him the benefit of the doubt... you have to understand what these fighters go through and how a lot of the times they leave the ring with less of themselves.
It’s much different actually being in the ring man.Comment

Show the rule that states a ref owes a fighter the benefit of the doubt when they cant answer if they are able to continue.
You’re saying Steele should have cheated Chavez out of his win by bending the rules for Taylor.Comment
