He should have given the command to box and if he got hit with anything significant in TWO seconds, he could have jumped in.

He OWED him the benefit of the doubt... you have to understand what these fighters go through and how a lot of the times they leave the ring with less of themselves.

Another that deserves honorable mention is Lionel Rose going to Japan to convincingly defeat Fighting Harada. Rose was just 19 and Harada was in his prime and an incredible fighter. Rose boxed beautifully that fight.
