Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Explains Reasons For Fury's Interim, Wilder Delay

I PERFECTLY UNDERSTAND why there has been a certain amount of hand-wringing amongst boxing fans over the decision to temporarily abort the planned rematch between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.Fans rightly want to see the best fight the best at the optimum time, as does everybody else in the business. But that is what it is, a business, and our new broadcast and promotional partners in the US want to maximise the potential of what is a great heavyweight showdown by placing it later in the year.

Frank Warren is a sham promoter, a front company, he has no influence whatsoever, just another employee of ESPN.

In the UK, he has pull, in America, he is a puppet

TLDR: We, the network companies and promoters, only care about how long we can milk the cow. We don't care whether or not y'all want to see fighters fight in their prime.

In other words, water is wet

There was literally no need for this article as he just repeated what was said earlier this week lol. Still putting enough blame towards TR/ESPN to cover for himself for the fight not happening next.

It's fine, no need to explain yourself any further. You guys chose to go another route, not the end of the world.

What doesn't make sense is mentioning ESPN can be seen across 85 million homes.....When Fury will be fighting on ESPN+. Give us the numbers to the amount of subscribers they have and how many people will watch Fury's next fight on that platform. If he was to fight on ESPN, that is one thing but it isn't reality here.

Espn+ has about 3mil subscribers which makes warren reason for delaying fight pointless not to mention rematch was already going do way better numbers then first fight... Should just tell truth they have no intentions matching fury with Joshua/wilder first three fights will be smoke and mirrors until it’s fights 4 and 5 of contract
