We've seen over and over again Olympic medalist that fail in the pros. You need to be a better fighter to win a world title than you do to win a medal in the Olympics.

I love boxing, but couldn't care less about the Olympics. Audley Harrison won an olympic gold and he wasn't even a top 30 pro heavyweight of his era in his prime. It's all about the professional ranks in boxing. Not silly 3 round slap fests. Amir Khan could beat Mayweather on his day in a 3 rounder with big gloves. He couldn't beat Mayweather in his dreams in a pro 12 rounder.

How many unheralded amateurs have won world titles? If someone becomes the actual champ in a strong division, that’s a great accomplishment and on par or better than winning an Olympic gold medal...but just winning some paper strap, nah.
