The Institute for Family Studies (IFS) is dedicated to strengthening marriage and family life, and advancing the well-being of children through research and public education. Addressing family life is what we do, and we invite you to learn more about ways to strengthen families in America and around the world.
There is this 'study' here, which isn't actually peer reviewed and frankly looks to be full of holes upon even a cursory inspection

American sexual behavior is much different than it used to be. Today, most Americans think premarital sex is okay, and will have three or more sexual partners before marrying. What, if anything, does premarital sex have to do with marital stability? This research brief shows that the relationship between divorce and the number of sexual partners women have prior to marriage is complex.

Unsurprisingly there are some who are cynical about the IFS' agenda.

Foundations fund institutes, which give news to media (while Brad Wilcox gets $35,000 and an “entertainment” line)

Following the funding usually tells you all you need to know.

Anyways, I ain't got an opinion on this, though past experience tells me I could probably shred the study's methodology and point out half a dozen erroneous conclusions... used to be a bit of a hobby (and I even got paid for doing that ish once or twice) debunking stuff like that but I seriously can't be arsed. Besides, I ain't a big believer in marriage anyways... archaic BS if you ask me. If you wanna be with someone be with 'em. If you don't, go. Your gender shouldn't enter into it.

The data is pretty solid. It shows that there isn't really a strong correlation between divorce and sex partners except among women with zero or one sex partners before marriage which is a little lower. There are other factors that are a much stronger predictor of divorce than prior sex partners like age, education ect.

El Cholo would have made a crazy boxer, a sort of Jorge Barrios.

Both men and women need sexual relationships but men usually have much more sexual desire, which makes a man having a lot of sexual partners more understandable.

I don't have a problem with promiscuous women either, they are not necessarily bad persons, but I would never want to introduce one to my parents, marry and have kids with her. I can understand what that tweet meant.

He is actually quite right because women who take lost of john dory actaully become more unemotional and can actaully turn out to be a man hater and bitter.

Ain't quite sure that's true, man. Least you gotta doubt it if you've ever listened to women talking among themselves... what they are is in many cases both socially conditioned to suppress their sex drive and more keenly aware of the consequences... as in it's them that are gonna end up carrying the baby. Fuck - they gotta have some powerful urges going on if they gonna risk that ish... imagine if it was us that had to carry the babies, man... you reckon you'd be quite so quick to unzip?

Essentially that... it's not really constructed as a study though, more just an individual interpretation or analysis of existing data (of which there also seems to be issues from both the 70s and the most recent 2010 data regarding the sample size being too small). Regardless it doesn't really lend much support to Quillins claim, and certainly doesn't imply any causal relationship.
