I'm really looking forward to this fight because I like both guys a lot and respect their game. I think Spence has the edge in speed while Mikey has a helluva 1,2. If it is an early night, I see a left uppercut in Mikey's future.

Not necessarily, he fighting a P4P fighter and a champion. He would be foolish to rush in to take MG out quickly when he just wear him down and make him quit. Don't forget, anyone can go down from a chin shot no matter how small the fighter is that's throwing it.

It may not matter anyway but would be interesting to see. Man, if this fight actually turns out to be a war, what a treat that would be. I keep thinking it will be Spence chipping away at Garcia in large chunks at a time and that it might take everything in Garcia for him to go 12. Maybe it will be a shocker.
Im giving Mikey a little bit better of a chance than a lot of the posters here because of the forward motion of Spence you described above. Errol doesn’t give much for angles, and doesn’t move his head much - Mikey, on the other hand, throws a perfectly straight 1-2 down the middle, and is one of the best at maintaining distance. If he can move his feet fast enough ( and that’s a big “if”), he might end up walking Spence into a lot of right hands while boxing off the back foot. I don’t see him rocking Spence, but frustrating him for 7 out of 12 rounds is not an impossibility.

Wow I’m seeing a lot more people jumping on the Mikey bandwagon as we get closer to the fight. Interesting.

Mikey won't be a pushover that's for sure!

You'll have to rely on his conditioning, since before his training was bumish. With better conditioning he can possibly carry the power to hurt spence, and spence usually takes punches flush, unlike lipinets which was caught more on the side of the head vs mikey, spence often has his head up and gets it snapped back(shots are more damaging like this).

I cant wait for their open workout.

That is also a good observation. Mikey didnt get to 38-0 without knowing all facets of boxing and his experience could carry him but he cant make a bunch of mistakes. I think he has to have and execute the perfect game plan, considering the 4 inch reach deficit. Maybe go to the body without putting himself too close for long or leaving himself open.
